What We Do

The Tim Rasmusson Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness for eye, organ, and tissue donation while supporting the local Gift of Life Transplant House. Our main event is an annual 5K in April, complemented by additional fundraisers at venues like Whistle Binkies Olde World Pub and Carroll’s Corn. We also engage with organizations to foster community connections, rallying together with the mission to “Target Togetherness to Help Others.”

Timmay 5k

The Timmay 5K is a heartfelt event designed to raise awareness about the critical need for organ, eye, and tissue donation, and to bring together friends, family, and the community in support of the important mission. With the slogan “Target Donor Awareness,” the race highlights the impact donation has on the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. Funds raised at the event benefit the Gift of Life Transplant House in Rochester, Minnesota.

Scheduled for the last Saturday in April, the Timmay 5K aligns with National Donate Life Month, a time dedicated to encouraging Americans to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors while honoring those who have saved lives through the gift of donation.

Over 100,000 people are waiting for a life-saving transplant. The generosity of donors is what makes transplants possible, but the need far exceeds the number of available donors. Your support can help change that.

Over the past decade, the Tim Rasmusson Foundation’s generous support has significantly enhanced the Gift of Life Transplant House. From creating the serene Tim Rasmusson Memorial Rain Garden to funding essential upgrades like new windows, mattresses, and appliances, TRF’s contributions have improved the comfort and well-being of countless transplant patients and their families. Additionally, the foundation has provided heartfelt holiday meals and ensured the homes are equipped with quality furnishings and facilities, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all who stay there.
