A huge thank you to everyone who participated and/or helped with the 2017 Timmay 5k on April 22nd! It was a stunning day of warmth and sunshine, the necessary ingredients to make the event another tremendous success! Your generosity and participation helped raise $21,000 that has been donated to the Gift of Life Transplant House!
This event continues to be a shining example of what the Tim Rasmusson Foundation is all about – Targeting Togetherness to Help Others. When Tim’s family and friends embarked on this journey after Tim passed away – there were really 3 things we wanted to accomplish:
1. Remembering Tim and honoring his legacy – that is of helping others and having fun while you are at it!
2. Bring awareness to the importance of organ donation – and to talk about your decision with your family – “Have the conversation”
3. Bring people together – make spending time with friends and family a priority
There were many ways you all made this amazing – whether you were a 5k participant, volunteer, and/or a sponsor, Thank you! Also – a shout out to Donate Life, Gift of Life Transplant House, and LIfeSource, as well as Steve Shank and family (aka Tour de Shank!)
